There has been many reports of scammers, n scamm. Nitto players are hackin in to peoples accounts, and even stealing cars. Do not fall for any scams!! Here r a List of Scams to beware of:

1) Dont be fooled By websites, tryna convince u they will make u a MOD, Admin, give u a f 1, Free money, free membership, etc.. They are all fake, They jus want yer money n account. NEVER give out ya Password

2) Watch out for Those Pm's!!.. Some nitto players, are going around the chat rooms, tryna act like their a Mod m n even aN ADministrator, by pm me, with an exact Mod or admin name. DONt BELIeve them, IF tehy ask u for money or for a car, or yer password, dont do it, its a scam! many peeps have fallen for it.

3) a famous line scammers use is "i can make u a mod" thats a Big lie. Mods cant make other peeps Mods. n Admins dont need ya password

THose Damn Scammers. I kno how much u hate Em. BUt SHame on you if you ever get scammed. But just in case, here are some tips on how to avoid it.

- Never give away you password, EVER

- Don't race people for slips who say they are going to foul, most times they DONT

- Dont't race people for alot of money who say they will foul and give it to you, most times they DONT.

- Basically, avoid these few things and you will never be scammed

Any link given to you that involves a nitto cheat, which requires your password for it to work, is a scam. Do not ever fill in an online form with your password, unless it is from an offcial website (e.g nittoracing.com).

Test potential scammers by giving them a false account, a new account with a civic. See if what they promise is true, but good luck!

NEVER give another racer your nitto username or password. They may be offering cars; or money, but all they do is steal the cars you have and take your money. Fake websites also pretend to be affiliated with Nitto, but are actually personal web pages scammers have set up trying to get people to give their password in return for cars. Do not give your password, or change your password according to what other users say. Slips are a common scam. Users will promise a "Free F1" and race Slips. These users will not foul; but beat you and take your car.

Scammer says: Free Car Clone (I need your PW to put the cars on your account)
Really means: C mon dummy, I ll still take your money and cars!

Scammer says: FREE Cars (send me a race, I ll Foul)
Really means: You re a sucker- I ll take your car because mines faster!

Scammer says: Account For Sale
Really means: I have the email ownership that goes with the Nitto user name and I ll just change my PW after I have your money!

Scammer says: Cars For Sale $xxx
Really means: Trust me- so I can take your money and not deliver the car!

Scammer says: I ll make you a mod! (Talk to so and so on aim)
Really means: I can t make you a mod, but now that I have your AIM, I can keylog you and clean you out!

Scammer says: Account Editor! (Give me your AIM, I ll install it)
Really means: Give me you AIM so I can keylog you and clean you out!

Scammer says: JOIN MY TEAM- Low entry fee, High pay each day!
Really means: Deposit your money so I can keep it and kick you off my team!

Scammer says: Visit my web site for cheats/hacks!
Really means: Come here so I can hack your account!

Don t fall for any scams similar to these, MODS CAN T GET YOUR CARS OR CASH BACK and you ll be much happier!

How to be safe from scammers

GETTING HACKED? Try to protect yourself!

People that are getting Hacked are having one of two things happen to them:
1) They re allowing someone access to their account or PW, or
2) They re a victim of keylogging via having cookies placed into their computer

Neither of these are the fault of Nitto, but you absolutely should take steps to protect your accounts

In the case of #1, YOU are responsible for your account! (not your brother, sister or friend)

In the case of #2 this usually happens when downloading or visiting web sites, exchanging email or AIM keylogging is very serious, not only can your Nitto Passwords be stolen, buy ANY information that is stored in your computer such as credit card info, personal information and so on

HOW CAN YOU PROTECT YOURSELF?

1) STAY OFF WEB SITES THAT YOU SEE BEING ADVERTISED ON NITTO (this is where most cookies come from)
2) DO NOT EXCHANGE EMAIL OR AIM (Nitto provides a message system that works fine)
3) CHANGE YOUR NITTO PASSWORD PRIOR TO LOGGING OFF
4) DELETE ALL COOKIES AFTER LOGGING OFF

HOW DO I DELETE COOKIES?

1) Go to START button at the lower left of your screen and click
a) Click search for files/folders
b) In the area that your curser is blinking type the words Temporary Internet Files
c) Click the search now button and let the computer search a list of files will appear
d) Look for the file Temporary Internet Files and double click on that THERE S YOU COOKIE LIST! If you ve never done this, you could have several hundred!
e) Go to edit tool bar at the top of your screen and click select all
f) Go to file tool bar at the top of your screen and click delete The computer will ask if you are sure, click yes.

2) You can set your computer not to take any cookies by going into the control panel and then Internet Tools It s a good idea to look for assistance through Microsoft help on this when using the Advanced Tab

3) Another good idea is to get a spyware prevention tool such as spybot - DOWNLOAD THESE ONLY FROM THAT COMPANY WEBSITE not through any racers on Nitto! There are many available and some are free, type in keyword search SPYWARE and look through them

How to protect Urself from geeting scammed

Well here goes again. I have posted subject after subject and still people won't listen. Alot of people are getting hacked and it seems it has now starting with some Bigtime players (Heard 03Cobra) got hacked. Here are some measures to take to maybe prevent this from happening.

1) Buy a Firewall and Spysubtrat for your PC. Total cost of about $50.00 for both
2) AIM is the way that i got hacked (9 cars and 1.4 million in the Team account) by Slim Shady and lilnig77 = same person. Stay off AIM = if you need to talk that is what the chat rooms sre for.
3) Never open e-mails from people you don't know. That is how they download Keyloggers. This is how everyone is getting hacked.
4) As the system tells you don't go to any Nittosites other then the Nitto1320 company site.
Hypnotic Pimps site is okay and also Derrickcranes is. Theses are the only 3 i visit.
5)Never give out your password to anybody claiming they can give you money or cars. If you check their accounts most of the time they have a CIVIC. Now if they could do this for you why don't they have more cars. Use common sense people.
6) If you can't follow these simple suggestions then don't come crying to MODS and threatening to quit. They can't do anything about peoples ignorance.
